Who We Are: Protecting Elephants, Empowering Communities

At SOS ELEPHANTS, we are committed to safeguarding the endangered elephant populations in Chad. Since 2009, our organization has been at the forefront of the fight against poaching, working in partnership with local communities and international organizations to protect one of Africa’s most iconic species. Our efforts not only focus on the conservation of elephants but also on creating sustainable solutions for the communities living alongside these magnificent animals.

Discover the core values that drive our efforts to protect elephants and preserve their habitat, while empowering local communities for a sustainable future.

01

Our Mission: Saving Elephants, Preserving Ecosystems

At SOS ELEPHANTS, our mission is clear: to protect the remaining elephant populations in Chad from the threats of poaching and habitat destruction. We strive to preserve the ecosystems they call home, working hand-in-hand with local communities to promote sustainable development and wildlife conservation. Every day, we are on the frontlines, ensuring the survival of these majestic creatures for future generations.

02

Our Vision: A Future Where Elephants and Communities Thrive Together

We envision a world where elephants roam freely in their natural habitats, and communities live in harmony with wildlife. Through our conservation programs, community engagement, and educational initiatives, SOS ELEPHANTS aims to create a future where the protection of elephants leads to sustainable development and environmental balance in the region. Together, we can ensure that both elephants and people prosper side by side.

Ahmat Idriss Ndjamena, Tchad

Fatima Abakar Mayo-Kebbi, Tchad

Mahamat Hassan Sarh, Tchad

Zara Souleymane Goz Beida, Tchad
